Be sure to achieve the optimum temperature when making your candles with our Probe Thermometer. This thermometer is ideally suited for beginner to advanced candle makers, it is compact, fast, and gives a reliable reading.
It is vital that the wax is not overheated at all, and that the fragrance is added at the optimum temperature, as well as poured into the container at the optimum temperature. Be sure to follow the recommended temperatures on each of the wax pages.
This will ensure that your candles have a smooth top finish and will help limit concaving.

Using a digital thermometer for candle making is essential to ensure the wax reaches the correct temperatures for pouring and adding fragrance or colour.
Instructions:
- Ensure your digital thermometer is clean and in good working condition. Check the battery if it's battery-operated.
- Insert the probe into the wax mixture. Ensure the probe is fully submerged but not touching the bottom of the container to get an accurate reading.
- Once inserted or aimed correctly, the digital display will show the current temperature of the wax.
- Keep measuring as the wax is heating. As each wax type has a very specific temperature it needs to reach for adding fragrance, colour and pouring.
- After use, clean the thermometer according to its instructions to maintain accuracy. Store it in a safe place away from heat and moisture.
- Always follow safety guidelines when working with hot wax. Use heat-resistant gloves and work in a well-ventilated area.
