Coconut Oil is a natural oil made from the meat (or kernel) of mature coconuts. Coconuts grow on the coconut palm tree (Cocos nucifera).

Coconut Oil is a natural and can be used to blend with certain wax types, as well as for soap making. It is suitable for container candles, and ensures great sidewall adhesion, with little shrinkage. Please note we package the oil in litre containers, due to the low melting point. Note that this oil can only be used to blend with wax, and not suitable to be used as a single ingredient in candles.

Skin Benefits: Coconut Oil contains antimicrobial properties which can be helpful in treating acne and protects skin from harmful bacteria. It also has anti-inflammatory and moisturising properties.

Recommended % to add for candles: 5-10%
Recommended % to add for CP Soap: 30% max
Melting Point: Low
Liquid form in summer/ Semi solid to solid in winter
Uses: Blended Container Candles only (Soy wax, bees wax, shea butter)

Candles:

Add 5 – 10% coconut oil to soy / paraffin wax candles in order to blend to a softer consistency.
Add the coconut oil to the wax while it is melting.
Coconut oil will enhance the overall creamy look of the candle product.

Function in CP Soap:

Coconut Oil is used in cold process soap due to its cleansing abilities and its contribution to a copious lather.
It provides big bubbles/suds. Coconut Oil can cause your soap to be too drying due to its high cleansing properties and therefore we recommend that it be used at a rate of 20-30% in your cold process soap recipe.
No higher than 30%.

Prioritize safety by wearing goggles and gloves during product preparation.
Access the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for comprehensive safety & product guidelines.
Exercise caution when working with any warm wax and soap products. Use it exclusively within recommended applications.
Take care to avoid damage too polished, painted, plastic, or leather surfaces when producing any candles or body products. Follow instructions diligently.
Store the product out of reach of children and pets. Individuals with perfume sensitivity should use the product cautiously, it is advisable to make use of a safety mask.
Refrain from using this product for any other application than recommended.
